Abstract submission
The Scientific Committee and the Local Organising Committee warmly invite researchers with a broad spectrum of scientific experience and interest in aerobiology and closely related disciplines to submit their original contributions for abstracts at the World Aerobiology 2024.
Dates:
- Abstract submission deadline: EXTENDED until March 3, 2024
- Notification of acceptance: March 25, 2024
General guidelines:
Abstracts must be submitted online. Each registration allows for up to 4 presentations, which can include oral and poster presentations. Please note that abstracts submitted via email, post, or fax will not be considered. Upon submission, an email confirming the abstract has been received will be sent to the submitter’s email address. In case of non-receipt, we advise contacting the secretariat at event@seventips.lt for guidance.

Submission guidelines:
Abstracts and presentations must be in English. The registration email address must be used for all conference-related activities, including abstract submission. The maximum length allowed for an abstract is 500 words (approximately 3500 characters) excluding the abstract title, author(s), or names of institutions. To ensure informativeness, the abstract should briefly outline the study’s purpose, main hypotheses/background, methods used, results obtained, and conclusions based on them. Abstracts without results will be rejected. The use of phrases like “Results will be discussed” or “Data will be presented” is insufficient. No tables, figures (charts, graphs, or other non-textual content) are allowed.
For those planning to submit multiple abstracts, it is advisable to prioritize one for oral presentation and the others for poster presentation. Based on their expertise, the Scientific Committee of World Aerobiology 2024 will conduct blind evaluations of the abstracts and will make the final choices about presentation allocation and format. The submitting author will receive a confirmation email upon successful submission, and all further communication, including the notification letter, will be exclusively with the presenting author specified during abstract submission. Presenters will be informed about the format of their presentation upon receiving acceptance notifications. It is crucial that the presenting author is registered by May 1, 2024; failure to do so or using different email addresses may result in the abstract not being published in the abstracts book.
By submitting an abstract, authors agree that their names and affiliations, as well as the abstract, will be stored electronically and may be published on websites maintained by the European Aerobiology Society, the International Association for Aerobiology, and the International Ragweed Society.
